Dan Young entered the professional world of music in his mid-twenties playing saxophones with local gospel and jazz artists in the Phoenix, Arizona area. While working as a sideman with gospel artists he got his first taste for studio session work, and began creating and performing with other gospel and jazz artists, along with routinely performing the National Anthem for the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks.
In the early 2000’s Dan recorded and released three albums under his own independent label, Run Young One Productions, and toured with his band, the Dan Young Quartet, and was regularly a featured performer in local festivals. This experience greatly broadened his connections to musicians and producers, and grew his experience producing, curating and distributing music.
As the digital revolution began taking shape, the method of music creation and distribution evolved—removing traditional middlemen and creating new mediums for artists’ musical expression. Seeing this as an opportunity to fill a need, Dan created Sonic Productions with co-founder Daniel Lara, recruiting the most creative musicians and producers.
Coupled with decades of sales and management experience, Dan conveys the sole mission for Sonic Productions to become the World’s Best Music Production Company.

Jimi Christian has been
professionally creating music for over 13 years. Born and raised in South Minneapolis Jimi grew up playing drums in church as a multi instrumentalist playing drums, keys, organ, bass guitar and singing. At the age of 17 he began playing drums professionally in the gig scene in Minneapolis, and by the time Jimi was 24 he had been tapped to become a music director for the gospel church, serving as worship leader. With directing music came along the experience of creating tracks—and this became his hallmark where he could demand a premium for his services. Jimi is also experienced recording gospel records—he’d call himself a ‘hired gun’ during that time. Always humble, his audition with Prince remains a strong memory for him, but he doesn’t brag about it; the experience lead him to his true highlight learning how to be a professional musician. Jimi is also currently a Music director for Christ Church of the Valley in, PHX Arizona.

Rouvaun Roman is a talented sound engineer and producer with tracks on The Ellen Show, Extra, TMZ, The Kardashians and many more. He initially started recording music at 12 years of age. Since his father worked as a band manager, becoming a DJ was a a rather natural move for Rouvaun—even while in the 8th grade. He’ll say that his shows started with a few people in the audience but quickly started drawing hundreds—he would then rent sound equipment for him and the rest is history. It’s tough for him to exactly nail down his influences, but in his 25 years of professional music production he’ll mention Prince and Quincy Jones as folks from whom he’ll pull ideas.
Besides producing music, Rouvaun also is a live sound engineer for various churches in the Phoenix area.
